Easy to put together once you look at all the details. The hardest part is deciding on the layout and then making sure you insert the plastic pieces all the way into the black clip holders. It's very easy at first, but as the structure grows, you rely more and more on the plastic mallet. I decided to start with a simple open space. When the kittens were 6 weeks old and can now walk with their feet, the design changed. The initial installation can be tedious. However, once these clips have been used, it's quicker and easier to detach, restyle, and clip them back in place. Kittens cannot jump over it or break it. Holds up great. I would recommend it for animals. Now that the kittens are starting to jump and want to climb, I've ordered another branch with metal walls to increase airflow. I didn't have to do this as these panels were much smaller so I had to flip the design so they snap together and use the zippers. The photos show the progress of my layout so far. Will change it again soon, but overall I like it.
