I bought this extra long cable because I use my phone as an internet tether on my computer. However, my phone is not recognized at all. So I can't use it to transfer data or tether to my computer. I suspect it would work since it was compatible with Kindle and Xbox controllers, but it didn't. I even tested it with my old half broken cable and my phone was able to detect my phone with no issues. So it's not a problem with my phone or computer. Somehow I just don't get it recognized. However, it works great if you just want to charge it. Fits snugly and stays in the device. So I can't be too strict.
