Review on Alpine Corporation CHT892 Snowman Multicolor by Steve Miller

This snowman looks great when the lights are on. The lights are very bright and well distributed across the statue, except for the two red birds they don't have. Approximate dimensions: 6 feet high, 52 inches wide, 14 inches deep. The assembly process was simple and straightforward. I didn't use the included plastic zip ties that hold the pieces together when I assembled them for review and photos because I wanted to disassemble and store them until Christmas. I'm not sure if these plastic straps can be opened up and reused, or if they need to be cut, which is what I usually do to remove a strap like this. I think another reusable fastener that allows for easy disassembly would be better than the plastic zip ties that come with it. Most of the details are well done and feel solid and sturdy, including the white mesh that covers most of the statue. The only problem is the hat. I don't understand why the durable material used for the rest of the product wasn't used for the hat. Instead, the hat is made of woven fabric with tinsel. My hat already had a few holes and threads torn out and I had to be very careful during assembly not to make more. In addition, the nose was only partially glued on, but can be easily fixed with a glue gun. Too bad for the hat because it's a beautiful statue that will add charm to my Christmas decorations. The holes won't be visible unless someone examines the statue up close, but for a piece of jewelry in this price range I expect good quality and no flaws throughout the product. I recommend inspecting the hat upon arrival and treating it very carefully during installation and storage.
