After installing the shock absorber on my 2018 Ford F-250 according to the instructions, I quickly realized that the tailgate was still lowering too quickly. Went back to Revain to find one for the PASSENGER side - only to find there isn't one for the passenger side. As a result, I ordered another DZ43205 shock absorber. Although it says "driver's side only" I was able to install it on the passenger side without any problems. I simply reversed the tailgate mounting pin and adjusted the angle so both shocks work in unison. I already have an old plain zip tie around the passenger side tailgate pin as a theft deterrent (I didn't see the need to pay $25 for an aftermarket lock that is nothing more than the same zip tie with plastic around it) . holds the pin to prevent slipping back and forth when opening the tailgate. I wish they had made an upgraded version of this shock absorber.
