So I bought a kitchen mandolin. Very disappointed but decided to go to Amazon, see what people are saying and find another one. I stumbled across this one. It was delivered and I expected to be disappointed. I was not! It came with a wide range of blades. I first used it to make turkey salad. I chopped the onion and the viola! It slides pretty thin if there was a thin paper setting. I liked that this thickness/thin is adjustable. I then used straw blades and a celery slicer. It was like throwing the dice. Cons: The blade has no protection and you have to be careful. Julienne blades should also be kept clean, when used they are very sharp and form part of the cut itself. The vegetable holder is more suited to something round so the celery had to be moved back and forth on its own. Again, be very careful not to cut yourself. I would recommend this product.
