Very impressed, solid construction and performance

I am totally impressed with this inverter, it is EXACTLY what I was looking for. The build quality is solid and clean. It has a bright, easy-to-read display that shows all the necessary information about the power supply, output power and current load. It has a remote control to turn the inverter on and off and control the battery capacity. Included with the inverter are 2ft (6 AWG I think) battery cables, a ground wire, remote control and instruction manuals. The fan is very quiet. Pretty much anything you run with an inverter is likely to be louder. The fan only turns on when needed to cool the inverter. There are many built-in protections including undervoltage, overvoltage, short circuit and high temperature. It can be operated with a constant voltage source from 9.5 volts to 19 volts. One of the amazing features is the "soft start" feature that helps to soften surges of electricity when starting devices such as motors or compressors. To use this function, it is important to first turn on the instrument and THEN power the inverter. This feature is useful when I use it with conditioner. I had no problems with 2 loads totaling 1500w continuously for 15 minutes. I don't have a way to test the sine wave, but my microwave draws about 1000 watts and runs smoothly without the extra hum I get when running it on a modified sine wave inverter. I haven't maxed it out to see where it performs, but I don't plan to use it above 1200W in normal conditions. I love how they spaced the terminals apart and pointing in different directions, but wish it had caps or covers. Both AC outputs have ground fault protection and 2 USB power connectors rated at 2.4A. I don't like the size of the power switch and the fact that it's momentary contact. I would have liked a larger hand rocker. However the current switch makes sense given the remote option, it probably uses the same circuitry. I plan to use this for camping and during power outages to turn on convenience items as needed, as powerful as a microwave or air conditioner. I am very happy with this inverter and think it is a fair price for the features and quality.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
