Unusable unless blades are pointed up
My wife bought these and hasn't tried them yet. They're comfortable but I had to warn her that the lock/unlock button on ours simply slides with gravity. Not a problem if you're cutting something higher than the handles. If you're reaching down, however, the tool locks in the closed position and the jaws won't open again until you tilt the cutters back above the handles and squeeze. Cutting anything low means they lock after each cut so you have to do this crazy dance to use them. This makes the tool virtually unusable, in my opinion
- Excellent for heavy-duty pruning tasks
- Not suitable for precision cuts in small spaces
