Last summer I started mixing this and brewer's yeast with garlic into chicken feed. I have noticed that my chickens are healthier this winter than last winter. Also, my hens seem to be the only ones still laying a lot of eggs. I have some friends who also raise chickens and they asked what I was up to as they needed to buy eggs from me this winter. They say they just won't lay this winter with our other friends who raise chickens. They all keep saying wow you're the only one lying right now and that I'm lucky. Everyone they speak to that raises chickens just isn't laying this winter. They asked if I use a heat lamp to keep her lying down, but I don't. I don't use heat lamps. I figured if the chickens in the north could handle the cold, I think the chickens in the south could do without heating. The only thing I can think of is that I still use it and seaweed in my chicken feed. I have only ordered small tubs but plan to buy larger ones so they will last longer. Great product, definitely better than sick chickens and store bought eggs!
