Although my dog lost by not accepting alarm training and audible warnings when leaving the set zone, I was very impressed with the idea and implementation of this device. Our dog was a life saver, so I didn't have the nerve to use a stun gun on her. The collar worked a few steps from the set limit each time. We had a very hot couple of weeks when our dog was cooling off in a very uncomfortable pond within the circle and after getting wet the original collar lost the ability to connect to the GPS satellites. A replacement was sent, but some time passed after the initial training. I trained her for a few more days, but then she "stopped training" and went back to the pond, although in the yard we had a children's pool with water for her. I heard the alarm as I watched her run to the pond. Rather than keep a new collar that might fail again, I returned it. Working with the company was very easy but my purchase and return was complicated by the fact that it was purchased from a US website even though I live in Canada. Because of this, a lasting warranty can be an issue.
