Summary: I had to sand 4 out of 5 to avoid lining my suits, but the sanding removes an incredibly thin spot. Crosses have rough gaps that can also snag pants. See photo. If you have sandpaper and don't care about the finish of the hanger (really, who will see it but you?), it's an easy fix. Even if the cross member is the correct length, there will be gaps between it and the top hanger. Another rough corner where you can catch your pants. The cross bar is screwed on, so it should be sufficient for the weight of a pair of trousers. I'm fine with loops and will fill in the gaps before using them. If you're not a DIYer, don't use them.
