I bought this to replace my old salad dressing shaker. These are amazing shakers but they just get old and wear out and we've run them in the dishwasher a billion times and they still work, we've just updated them. I will tell you that this device does not perform nearly as well as the others. these and it's hard to see the dimensions on the side of the plastic. Others still have their respective colors of green or blue depending on which one we use. suspicious type of plastic used. I don't think it will last two washes like our others. It's hard to find this style anymore and I don't know why. This is a great use and we use it in powdered form for our smoothies or health blends yes. I think the manufacturer or engineer might have had to look into Hidden Valley Ranch Shakers from yesteryear. I think they may have created a better product based on that. I love that they still make it, don't get me wrong, I'm just disappointed it's not airtight like it was 20 years ago. The question inevitably arises, will I buy it again? I might buy it again because anyone can have bad mileage. You eat at a restaurant once and you can have a bad night, always a good one to try a second time. So this principle still applies and I would probably buy another round, but I'm not sure I would keep it if the second purchase was as wrong as the first. And if you don't like it, send it back and get something else. blessings to all.
