My daughter burned out the woofers in my Aiwa bookshelf speakers without knowing the power rating. I parked them in the shed for several years before I was able to fit spare BICs into my surround sound system. I looked at the price of replacement speakers and these woofers and decided to give the woofers a try. The second speaker was much easier to access than the first, and cabinet modifications were minimal. But I hardly damaged any of the cabinets and these woofers have much better bass than the original woofers. I am absolutely satisfied with this update.
