Review on LUMINTOP EDC01 Keychain Flashlight: Powerful 120 Lumens Pocket Torch with Long-lasting Battery, 3 Modes, IPX8 Waterproof, for Indoor and Outdoor Use by Montez Parson

Best little flashlight I've tried.

This flashlight is tiny! Sizes are listed but when it arrived I was stunned! My requirements were: small enough for a keychain but bright, unlikely to turn on in my pocket, doesn't use a battery, and has some sort of lens instead of a reflector. I hate reflectors; They produce an ominous beam that isn't the same brightness throughout the field (so your criteria may differ). The rotary switch did a great job of turning it off in my bag. As a bonus, the finish is remarkably durable; I've been wearing this thing for over a month now, attached to my stuffed keychain that twirls around the bottom of my bag every day. The fairing shows very light wear around the front and back edges and the rest looks great until yesterday I dropped it on concrete which threw out a small stain. I mainly use it for walking indoors at night. I like that the 1st coil is working at full power and the 2nd coil is at low power; This is because low power is pretty weak for my use. I don't know if the front is a real TIR lens or just spotted; That's because the beam isn't as perfect a circle as I've seen others have, but still good enough for me. I moved away from a competing lamp that is rated at 380 lumens and has 2 buttons, one with a 2 second delay to avoid accidental triggering in my pocket. Unfortunately, this countermeasure still allows it to frequently turn on in my pocket. However, THIS little flashlight never turned itself on (yet), and 120 lumens met my real needs. I am perfectly content with this subject, which I rarely speak about.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
