Review on Double Carbide Cutting Burrs Dremel by Austin Cejudo

I work with metals as a hobby and often use them to shape the part I am working on. This is a very well made set of 10 small 1/8" shank double cut tungsten carbide burrs for use in my rotary tool. The head size is quite small, with a maximum diameter of about 1/4" and an overall length of 2". Solid TC heads are silver welded to the shanks unless the shank is also TC and the ridge is a solid piece of TC steel. The listing includes great closeups of the head profiles. See photos of the set. This set includes a 'free' pair of gloves and 2 velcro (Velcro type) and hanging straps shown in the first picture. The cutter set comes in a plastic case where you can store it separately. This is important because of the vehicle's natural tendency to break under excessive loading. They work best on jewelry made from soft metals like silver, gold, or platinum, as well as brass, copper, and softer metals. The service life of the burrs is increased through the use of wax lubrication. They can be used on ferrous metals, but the life of burrs can be shortened even if they are made of tungsten carbide, and their small size limits their suitability for machining cemented carbides. They are great on softer metals with light pressure at high speed and with lube wax. They can also be used to mold plastic. They are quite small and therefore much more brittle than larger cutters. TS is brittle and mostly inflexible. LIGHT PRESSURE at high speed is the key to using them! ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION WITH FACE PROTECTION! Safety above all! I recommend this HUEMIC brand, Set of 10 Double Cut Carbide Burrs, Burrs for Dremel - .118" (3mm) Shank, Bits and Accessories for Wood, Metal, Stone Grinders - Rotary Burr Set for carving, sanding and polishing. For fine detail work does he have a wide range of tiny TC cutters Value is much less, I suspect the 2 'free items' increased the price - too much in my opinion!Hope you found the information and my review helpful.
