I buy triplet once a year. Mainly because I can't find any other phones that last longer than this one for less than $1,000. The first thing to remove is the speaker. You will wonder why no one is calling and then you will find that the light is blinking but there is no sound. It also means that you cannot use the speakerphone as the ringer and the speakerphone use the same speaker. The belt clip breaks easily and the menu navigation is a pain in the ass. Aside from those issues and a few others that appear after a year (like sticky buttons, phones not freezing, random loss of signal, or a mysterious loss of connection to base), I'd say this is a decent phone. The range is good and they can be dropped a few times without serious damage (which happens because they're not easy to hold). The base 86109 lets you marry many phones (twelve, I think) without compatibility issues. I use them at a car dealership and we call one of my employees "Gorilla". Making calls is not that easy. Maybe I should be glad I only do it once a year. I'm ordering another set today. I'm only giving them three stars because I honestly think they're the best of this shit. I don't think it would be very difficult to beef up the phone, improve the menu, or even offer an overall better phone. When I find a phone that lasts more than a year, is more ergonomic, and doesn't have all those little issues, I give it five stars.
