Got this and a smart plug and hooked it up to a simple single zone drip irrigation system for my container tied tomato plants. It opens every morning at dawn for about 30 minutes. Outdoors (albeit under a plastic container) it works reliably from the moment of purchase. No complaints, very happy with the purchase. It was very easy to connect/attach the cable to the end of the plug so I could connect it to the smart plug - even I managed not to burn my house down! When connecting to a garden hose you will likely need some adapters - I used the "commonly bought" ones. Dixon BA776 and Dixon BMA976. A fluoroplastic (Teflon) tape is also used.
