Great idea BUT - truck beds and tailgates

I'm an avid hiker/outdoor enthusiast and have tried many camping products; Needless to say this was my first hatchback with a hatchback so I have nothing to compare it to except maybe a regular tent. Impression I am left with: 1) I think the concept is really great, the idea is great, there are no bars, it is easy to use, there is privacy and a place to change and just more space if you use the car storage quit and sleep. 2) The color is really beautiful. 3) The reason why I only gave it 3 stars is because of the workmanship and the usability in wind and rain. I was disappointed checking seams, seams, velcro and zippers. Some sections of the velcro are not sewn to the fabric of the tent because the sewing machine has moved to the side and is not aligned with the fabric. In some places the tent material is sewn on one side of the velcro so it cannot fully adhere to the other side of the velcro. Poorly sewn loops and ends of zippers. Now I tested this camping over the weekend and in the wind and rain this product did not withstand. The inner tent only has small magnets to "attach/secure" it to the roof/hatchback. After I nailed the bottom of the tent, the gust of wind kept pulling it down until it was blown off the tailgate. There are no straps or brackets to attach it to the roof, just the ones underneath that attach to the wheels. With no wind that might not be a problem but we had a storm coming up and I was afraid all my stuff in the trunk would get wet if it blew away so I ended up taking them off to close the trunk. The tent also has two guy ropes to extend the space but once I attached them I couldn't pull the raincover over them, they got in the way of the raincover and the raincover didn't reach the ground. As there are no fasteners other than magnets to attach the canopy to the roof, trying to gently and firmly press the awning to the ground, trying to pull it at the front kept slipping off the tailgate and taking the inner tent with it is attached to the Velcro. When it started raining, water got into the tent. Water flows around the open trunk as usual (as there isn't enough fabric to cover the car's roof a little more), but the raised tent floor doesn't stay high enough/above the rear bumper for water to drain. Behind him he simply ran him over in the tent. Attaching the rain cover to the inner tent with Velcro is also problematic when the tent is already up. I'd love to support them and this idea but unfortunately the quality of production doesn't reflect the price and the inability to get it to work in the weather conditions I've been in, for the money it has too many issues to put up with try to solve them. I returned the product in the hope that this product will receive several updates over time.
