Royal Star XVZ13 1996 Yamaha - Perfect fit. Excellent goods!

Perfect for my 1996 Yamaha Royal Star XVZ13. You'll know it's in the right position if it wobbles a bit before you put the screws in. If it lays flat and doesn't wobble with no screws, you're against the boss' teeth, screw a screw hole. Before installing the cover, check the movement of the clutch. Be sure to use motorcycle oil! I didn't know there was a difference between car and motorcycle oil. Your wet clutch needs special oil, otherwise it will slip over time. The Barnett clutch disc was fitted with a new clutch pack. Even trying, I couldn't get it to slide at high speed. I was afraid the clutch would seize up. This is not the case, the Barnett spring feels very similar to the stock spring. I would recommend it to a friend. Update date May 2018. After some time driving I am still very satisfied. My old clutch discs didn't wear out much even after 80,000 km. I think I could use this spring if I wasn't using auto motor oil. You can try rinsing and drying your clutches with a burst cleaner and then re-lubricating with a suitable oil and using this updated clutch spring. Anyway, now I can start my bike if I want. couldn't before. If I downshift too quickly, the bike makes a little "chirp!" as the rear wheel grabs. The clutch grip could be a bit stiffer, but that's not a big deal. I still love that clutch spring!
