These items are very easy to assemble. I'm a student at UC Davis (aka Bike Central, USA) and we tend to have quite a bit of bike vandalism due to the high number of bikes on campus. Not wanting my wheels to be stolen because the U-lock didn't fit my tire and frame, I went ahead and took a preventive measure by installing these locking skewers. It only took about 5 minutes. I'm glad I did because now I don't have to worry as much about leaving my bike alone in a classroom or dorm. If thieves don't bother to get one of these keys, they have little chance of sealing my bike seat or wheels. Unlocking is quite easy as it is just like putting a socket wrench (hex key) into a screw socket. I am very happy with this product, so much so that I have told my friends on campus about it.
