Read the Quick Start Guide. Start your watch. Unscrew the six screws and remove the existing hinge. One minute up. Install the new hinge (double check that the pin hole is up) and tighten the six screws. Just a minute. Open the plastic wrap and take the pen and hex key. About 15 seconds. Insert the hex wrench into the top and turn clockwise until you see the inner hole protrudes through the outer pin hole, insert the pin into the hole and relieve the hex. No longer than 45 seconds. This is a full 3 minute project. Tips: 1. Use 2 pieces on large doors with 4 hinges. 1 is probably enough for a light door with 3 hinges.2. In the first or second inner hole you can insert a pin, which becomes visible when you turn the hex key. 1st - lighter tension. If you're not sure what tension you need, only partially insert the pin, check the door's response, and if you need to move it to another hole, it's easier to remove and turn the hex to the stop second hole is aligned. 3. Hinge screw holes are chamfered on one side to accommodate screw heads. Make sure these bevels are visible after the new hinge is installed.4. The hinge pin has only one end that can be used with a hex wrench and must be on the top end when you insert the new hinge assembly. Comes with extra screws but your old ones should do the trick. It's a really strong sling and it's really well made. Note that there are multiple shapes and sizes to choose from, but mine fits like it was made for an existing slot and I had no trouble figuring out which to order.
