My boyfriend moved to Michigan from Arizona. She wanted to use a trailer-hitched cargo truck for the trip, but her Grand Cherokee didn't have a factory towing package. The local warehouse and warehouse charged her nearly $200 to install the hitch, not including the electrical wiring! She doesn't need to pull a trailer or anything with lights so I bought this for her. Installation was easy, 4 large screws and that's it. Make sure you have a torque wrench handy that can handle up to 70 feet or so of torque. The instructions say the specs, I don't remember exactly. The quality of this towbar is excellent, the holes line up perfectly and the finish is first class. It even looks OEM unless you know your Cherokee. This can easily exceed the capacity of the luggage rack. It also provides a great attachment point for canoes or roof ladders!
