I should have bought an open front seat many years ago. I suddenly have a place where I need it the most! Now a closed front seat on a small round toilet just looks backward and primitive. Anyone with a standard round toilet and a closed front seat should consider getting this seat. Also seems like a good option for those replacing the open front seat. The price of this particular seat is so cheap that it's worth taking the time to try it out. It's not super hard work, of course. However, I find it stable. (Doesn't slide back and forth like my old standard seat.) It's comfortable too. Just don't expect a thick and heavy seat at this price. However, the upside is that a light seat won't wake up the whole house when we lazy dudes just let gravity lower the seat! One of the downsides was the shipping. (Sold by Revane). You simply stick a shipping label on the sales packaging. Upon arrival it was a mess. Everything is torn open in places. I was lucky, the seat was not damaged but had to be cleaned as there were marks.
