They're cute and really useful in the kitchen. Some other posts have mentioned that the holes are quite large, which is true. Once you learn to adjust the incline of the shaker, this is no longer a problem. (My kids, ages 8 and 10, figured it all out.) Another minor inconvenience is adding salt and pepper to the shakers, but it's no more difficult than a standard set. I give 5/5 for beauty.
