A good balance of price/quality, recommend it.
I bought the console spontaneously, I wanted something new, let me, I think, play a couple of interesting exclusive games. I took it as an addition to the PC, as a result I use it as a media console - movies and video services. I don’t have a TV, so the almost silent operation of the PS4 Pro is very captivating compared to the PC - I turn on the console at night to watch something. And during the pandemic, the console was very handy. Despite the very serious shortcomings, as I said, I still enjoy using the PS4 Pro. Objectively, I would rate it 3/5, but the hand does not rise, because this console is very charming. Even its repulsive axis with its disorderliness, I use without irritation. And all this despite the fact that I have long ceased to use the prefix for its intended purpose. To this day, the device works flawlessly, no failures or errors. For gaming, it's pretty normal. But not at this price, which I have just seen. With this position in the market, I would have found another hobby.
- Beautiful, elegant and strict design; quite comfortable and durable gamepad; optical cable support; quiet work process; and just a nice technique that you want to use despite the serious, for me, cons. Well, I'm glad that at least some games have a mode of increased performance.
- No support for 21:9 monitors; the same performance mode (1080p 60fps) is not available in all games, and hence the next minus: 30 unfortunate frames. With this kind of performance, I just stopped playing some purchased games at the very beginning. Controlling a character, turning the camera around is just terrible - the picture breaks from low frequency, ripples, eyes get tired quickly, due to high latency, many games are not responsive - movements seem to be "drunk". Although, for example, the same Horizon with a 30fps lock was played quite normally. And even he, in the graphics settings, does not offer 60fps. It to experience that when the Pro version was positioned as a powerful 4K gaming machine. Minuses concerning OS: the interface is bad, navigation is bad. A complete mess, it's inconvenient to search and open applications, and typing with a controller is generally hell. For some reason, the Big Picture from Steam, in this regard, is much friendlier: everything is arranged perfectly and the typing is original and fast (for the controller, of course), it is clear that they have worked on it. I won’t even say anything about the prices of games, paid online and youtube with advertising. About the gamepad: its triggers involuntarily click if not carefully placed on the couch, which is infuriating when it rewinds the video for me. In general, I think the controller is seriously inferior to the controller from the Xbox One and 360 in terms of ergonomics, hence the convenience of gameplay in action games. But for that it is embled much better, and in general this does not mean that the gamepad is bad. No, he's damn good. Just for games, I would prefer an ogue from compeors.
