This does work very well as a privacy filter, but only when using the glossy side of it! I was hoping that it would also work as a privacy filter while using the matte side - if your eyes can't handle the gloss, I think I'd try something else. I already wear special glasses and this filter's gloss exhibits a bit of glare.Another plus - this fits my monitor perfectly.I used the adhesive strips to apply onto my monitor's display and they seem to be staying on pretty well. DO make sure you clean your monitor well FIRST, before applying this filter with the adhesives! In my case, because I now have a new monitor, I followed my monitor's manufacturer's instructions as to how to clean the display instead of using the cleaning wipes provided by Vintez. So far, so good.I'll try this for the next couple of weeks, especially to see how my eyes are able to handle the glare.
