I bought this to use as a mount on my camera strap which is 1" wide (BosStrap) and it fits perfectly. I'm thrilled and it holds the sling very securely to the camera with no worries. Importantly, when closing, the claw overlaps itself instead of going tip to tip, which isn't that good. If you need this kind of carabiner, welcome to buy it.
