Avoid this filter like the plague!
This fake filter is bullshit! These cartridges have always been replaced by GE without incident. A very skilled plumber carefully placed the cartridge in the container and the end of the cartridge fell into his hand! The second was no better. This would potentially contaminate the entire system with charcoal if it fell apart with water flowing through it (probably). In the meantime, I'm using the more expensive but better GE pickups again, the workmanship and functionality of which have never been questioned.
