When our school announced that we were opening distance learning this fall, I had to come up with inexpensive items that students could use for home experiments. I am very glad that I found these bottles. While they're not dishwasher-safe or heat-resistant, they're good for chemical reactions that don't release a lot of heat. I tested them at home and they worked great up to 50 degrees Celsius (didn't test further). The plastic is transparent so the color change is easy to see. They're lightweight, so they're also great for density measurements with 100 gram portable scales. They are easy to clean with a standard pipe or bottle brush. Also, they are not that expensive. So if students lose or damage them, it's not a big loss for the school. I also like that they have a flat bottom so they can stand on their own. They hold approximately 40ml (with approximately 1/2cm air space at the top) and are approximately 10.5cm high. If you write on them with a marker you can easily erase the markings with alcohol without damaging the plastic. Overall, I find them very handy for experimentation and will likely continue to use them after returning to face-to-face classes.
