The cable that comes with the Hibiscus is very good and costs at least $20 if purchased separately. Therefore 3 stars only for the cable. Unfortunately, I just don't like the sound of these IEMs. All frequencies sound like they're going through a veil, so there's a significant lack of detail. I have a rotation of 8 IEM pairs that I rotate as they each have different qualities that I value. But they don't even get into the rotation. I've even tried modifying them by removing the grille and putting in some dampening material, but neither of them did anything positive to raise them. So I'd recommend giving up and investing in a set of KZ ZS10 Pro IEM or Guideray GR-i headphones if you're sensitive to high frequencies.
