I bought 2 packs in mid July and they arrived hot off the truck. I immediately opened the first jar and found it had melted, so I left it overnight. In the morning I noticed that the surface was very hard and not like butter. I tried whipping the liquid from the bottom up, but the best I could get was a gritty waxy consistency that needed the help of a hair dryer to melt. I dabbled in this for a month before waking up in a closed bank. Here's what I did: I microwaved about 1.5 inches of water in a large bowl until very hot (but not boiling). I left a locked jar in this place. hot water for about 5 minutes until it runs thin and clear. I then stirred the product in the jar by shaking etc while it remained closed. I then poured out the hot water and replaced it with ice water. I placed the warm jar in this ice bath, stirring and shaking from time to time until the product was uniform and smooth. After it was firm and cool, I wiped off all the water and popped the lid. The consistency of this "good" glass is really oily. There are wax granules. but much smaller and melts at your fingertips. As for the advertised product - it's great. More waxy and protective than lotion. Improves colors and contrasts. Smells like a fancy surf shop. I would really like to know what the scent is and wear it like a cologne.
