ILLEGAL IN CALIFORNIA

UPDATE! So, fast forward and my car was hit while parked on the street. The front cover is completely shattered, the only one left on my car (see below). Here in California, on my way back from the grocery store after driving my car to the auto repair shop to get a price, I was pulled over by the local sheriff. Way to ruin my day first thing in the morning! He was obviously smart and said that this was a learning experience or some other nonsense. In any case, if that officer wasn't lying (you never know), then they're illegal in California and therefore shouldn't be sold. I'm seeing them everywhere now, so enlighten them. Previous Review: Well, I just LOVE this article. I simply mounted it to my car front and rear with the included screws. The next day I go to the store and get a reusable grocery bag from the trunk. As I closed the truck, the license plate cover flew off, flew into the air, rolled over, and fell to the ground. I stood there confused for a minute, picked her up off the sidewalk and put her in the car. Where has all this gone? go wrong you ask? The kit comes with screws of different shapes and sizes. Put 4 in front, no problem. The two screws on the back are different screws, so I used the shape and size of the two screws that fit the back. THE PROBLEM IS THAT their diameter is not large enough to hold the product on the vehicle. My license plate holds up great, I just wish I could use BOTH covers I bought. (And no, I will not be reusing the rusty nickel colored screws I removed from my machine. The screws provided are black because they fit the cover. Now you need to provide the correct screws!).
