Wanted to like this router. I'm an IT professional and I've had nothing but problems. It has everything I need - small form factor, open source, VPN support for Wireguard. After 6 months of fighting this device and contacting GLI email support, this thing is going in the bin. Despite a great feature set and interface, it just doesn't work as advertised. Issues: Wireless network performance is less than 1MB/s for the 2.4GHz band on the default firmware. The newer "beta" firmware violates airplayVPN's rules. me. It's so hard to find a good router under $100 that supports open source firmware. Wanted it that way, but it's just not ready baked. Maybe a future version will fix these problems, but I've waited long enough.
