I bought this to replace some of the other brands I've left behind (obviously expiry date is a potential issue ), and it was super easy to work with. I have never wrapped anything and have no experience with paint or bodywork. So if I can get a decent result, I assume anyone can. My only issue was that on fairly tight turns the thread would come out of the tape a bit, and depending on how good or how little it was that could be a blessing or a (slight) curse. Most of the time I could just rearrange it by hand and it pretty much stayed in place, so it wasn't a big deal. For example, in a sharp corner, part of the tape may fold around the inner perimeter, but the thread that comes out will keep the cut edge fairly smooth. On my first attempt at using both this and vinyl, I covered the trunk and a fairly large hood, which meant quite a bit of repositioning of the vinyl (at least for me), and surprisingly the knifeless tape didn't appear once when it wasn't got to. As others have said give yourself enough wiggle room to start cutting, in a few cases I didn't and this combined with the tricky spot of some of the starts made it difficult. Live and learn I guess. In the photos, I've added a downward slope to the hood at the end to make it look askew, but it's not straight. You can see that the bent corners aren't 100% legal, but from over a few feet away, it really isn't that bad. Just to be clear, the white part is the vinyl that I laid out and then cut out, and the carbon fiber is the hood itself. I made a sort of reverse stencil. If you're thinking about trying this, the worst thing that can happen is buying another vinyl wrap. Not so hot what's up.
