Bought this as a gift for my husband who has loads of hats and we were both thrilled to see it in action. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The idea is decent, but attaching the clamps to the rope is next to impossible, and once you're fully on (which is only 3/4 of the way) they don't slide up and down to allow for easy adjustment , since you can. Do not squeeze the clamps together as indicated. As has been said in previous reviews you end up hiding most of your hats because they are buried under two others on a clip and you end up having to juggle the other two hats to get to the one you want. This product is essentially a length of nylon rope from a hardware store with plastic ends and cheap plastic clips for attaching hats. I could do this a lot cheaper by buying my own rope and clothespins and it would work better. If I hadn't waited so long to open it up and try to use it I would have asked for a refund.
