If you really need protection then this is it.
I had a board burnt in my Samsung fridge which caused me a lot of problems. We have surges and blackouts for many minutes that ruined the board. We exchanged it and bought this item. In the meantime we bought the whole house on guarantee. When we had the fridge repaired, the technician told us that if we don't have this unit for our fridge, the warranty won't apply to us.
