I saved my wine bottling and capping
I sweetened and bottled the wine without first adding potassium sorbate. A few weeks later I heard a pop and when I checked the wine I noticed that several bottles were missing corks and more than half of the wine (they were on their side). The wine continued to ferment and created back pressure due to carbonation. So these wire caps combined with plastic stoppers helped me preserve the rest of the wine.
