If you have a pH meter you MUST have the calibration solutions. Most things I measure are in the pH 4 and pH 7-8 range. So this 4 and 7 pack is perfect for me. If you measure well over an 8, consider a bottle of 10. Pools should be in the range of 7, so 7 is ideal. Acidified foods are in the range of 4, so 4 is ideal. Saltwater tanks are in the 8 to 8.3 range, so 7 or 10 will work. Don't forget to throw away the used buffer instead of pouring it back into the bottle. You only need a small amount so it's pretty cheap to use.
