Alas, as much as I really wanted to love this set, the bowl itself is not useable as is. You see, I prefer my bowls to keep liquids contained. Sadly the construction of this bowl is such that there’s a sort of "O-ring”around the bottom, that in this case did not meet all the way around. This left a gape and renders the bowl not practical for its intended use: mixing up a liquid facial.The wood/bamboo utensils are lovely. Like any other wood/bamboo utensil, cutting board or serving/prep dish they must be seasoned prior to use. This is not a defect. This is inherent in choosing a wood/bamboo item (much the same way seasoning is required if you choose cast iron cookware).To season wood/bamboo I use food grade mineral oil, wipe it on the item and let it sit overnight. I then wipe off the excess and repeat 2 or 3 more times.I love the headband: it’s the right width to keep facial products and water off of my hair. It’s very stretchy. Very soft. And frankly the most comfortable facial headband I’ve ever tried.I will probably use some carpenter’s wood glue to seal the hole in the bowl. But the issue with the bowl is why I can only rate this set at 3 stars.
