Beautiful pitcher! Received yesterday and in use all day today. I realized I had to buy a 64 ounce jug so I could easily track my daily water intake, but that was my fault and this product didn't show up. It's nice and comfortable, so I'm keeping it anyway. Tolerates hot water very well. I drink hot, fresh tea with lemon and ginger every morning. I used to do it in a mug, but today I did it in this jug, it's much more convenient. Slice fresh lemon and fresh ginger and pour boiling water directly over the lemon and ginger in a jug and allow to steep for 15 minutes before drinking. The jug coped well with boiling water, although the stainless steel lid was hot to the touch. The lid stays open when pouring and I like the strainer in the lid. The only downside is the lid isn't airtight, if it could be twisted to close the spout it would be almost perfect.
