I wear a classic hairstyle with a parting, the hair is thin, the length of the cut hair is 9-10 cm, after 3 weeks 15 cm. They grow back very quickly. Applied to both dry and damp hair. It doesn't hold much, dry for about 1 hour, and then from the breath of the breeze, an explosion on the head at the pasta factory. Wet maximum 2 hours. Matte is there, but not the way I need it. It's more like he didn't wash his hair. Bought a styling spray from American Crew. Here I like it more, and it holds better. It's up to you, of course. This is my personal experience.
