I tried these shadows because the reviews were pretty good. And I just learned how to do makeup. But even as a newbie, I knew it wasn't the right thing. They say you get what you pay for. I was absolutely in love with the colors and so excited when I received them. Everything changed when I finally got to use it. It wasn't a very smooth application. It felt like there was fine sand in it. But I still have a chance. The colors were so vibrant on the palette. But after application the colors looked so matte (that was with a very expensive eye primer). And before you think it could be the foundation I used, I thought the same thing and used 5 other brands of foundation with it just to be sure. It was definitely eye shadow. And the reviews were amazing but the product itself was nothing compared to the reviews. I was so sad about that. I don't usually write reviews for products I don't like. I just skip everything together. But I didn't want someone like me to waste money. It ended up in my 12 year old niece's makeup bag because she loves cosplay. But she gave up even after a few uses. I will say we added Vaseline in a few lighter colors and the result is a stunning lip color. But even then he felt a little rough.
