I ordered this screen to replace a broken one in a gateway laptop. First, take the time to remove the old screen and remove the numbers from the back so you can make sure the one you ordered is an exact match, as there can be multiple types of screens for the same laptop model. Second, these screens are fragile until installed in the support frame. So be careful, I see how easily a new screen can be damaged. Third, be careful when removing the tape covering the connector, it's so sticky it's almost like clear tape and it would be very easy to damage the connector beyond repair, so gently pull on the edges off when you will reuse it. And one last warning, when you turn on the device, it's perfectly normal for the BIOS screens to look normal, but the Windows boot screen looks all messed up, but don't panic! Just restart your laptop in "VGA" mode, Windows will recognize the new screen and everything will be fine. All in all very recommendable.
