Review on Effortless Citrus Juicing: Prepworks by Progressive Countertop Citrus Press Juicer by Jessie Lopez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Am I the only cook who hates catching seeds with my hands?

I have a dozen juicers but I'm happy now. It is superior to others for several reasons. I've got a reamer, one of those weird scissor-shaped metal things, a plate juicer, and of course I've been doing manual push-ups. I've tried other types as well, but none of them were effective enough. I got the lime version of this gadget to make key lime pie and I loved it. It was big enough for small lemons, but eventually I realized I had to bite the bullet and get a real lemon-sized version because I drank lemon water on a daily basis and needed something more effective than what I have. I even tried a version that combined lime and lemon sizes, but it turned out to be more trouble than it was worth. You can extract far more juice from fruit using this method than any other method I've seen. It retains the seeds and most of the pulp. A bit of the thin pulp can come through, so if you want perfectly clear juice I'd use a small strainer underneath, but I never realized that the little that does come through could be a problem. What I get is a lot of juice. The device is powerful enough to squeeze even thin-skinned lemons that have become hard on the outside. At first it seemed counterintuitive to place the fruit halves cut-side down, but after you squeeze them together you'll see how it works. and I am consistently amazed by the amount of juice that comes out. I am very happy with both this and the lime sized juicer and would recommend them.
