Years ago, Fuller Brush Co. sent salespeople to the doors of housewives across America. The goods sold were of excellent quality, but not always the cheapest. You are still in it. I almost bought this broom because it's so much bigger than the synthetic silicone brooms you get at places like Target and Walmart. I decided to go ahead and see if Fuller makes a good product. WOW! That makes a world of difference when the bristles really work like old-school broom bristles. Instead of chasing dirt and hair, I actually managed to sweep them up and collect them in a dustpan (also a new, Fuller product). I'm all for saving money, but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and spend a little more. This broom is more expensive than the plastic and silicone set you find in the supermarket, but it works better. I used it on a combination of faux parquet and floor tiles in a bathroom. My bathroom tiles are round and disc-shaped and the dirt can only be swept away with an actually somewhat coarse bristle broom. Also try their metal scoop. They also have a small hand brush which is great for small messes.
