I really wanted this teapot to please. The design is simple and I love being able to choose different temperatures for different types of tea and coffee. However, I think the temperature monitoring/control system is of very poor quality. Works great 95% of the time. But sometimes when it's set to boil (or just below boil) and the water level is BELOW the max line, it doesn't seem to realize it's boiled and won't turn off, causing bubbles of boiling water" burst". small steam holes in the top and squirting boiling water on itself and countertop. Not only is this a safety hazard, but after a couple of such cases, the splashed water seemed to get into the electronics of the kettle and now it doesn't heat the water, the line has disappeared on the display, it keeps clicking and spinning off as if it is there is a power outage. In short, he broke himself. This is after 8-10 months of use. Really disappointed and not recommended.
