Review on K&N Engine Air Filter: High Performance Replacement for 2017-2019 Hyundai/Kia L3/L4 Models, Washable & Premium Filter (Elanta, i30, Kona, Veloster, Cee d, Forte), 33-5050 by Owen Blanco

I used to have K&N filters on my full size pickups and found them really great. Just installed on my 2018 Hyundai Elantra Value Package. First of all, I have to say that the Elantra is not a race car. It's a nice little economical car that consistently gets 33-35 mpg in mixed city/highway driving. Besides that, I've always been angry that he's a bit slow. I'm not expecting much so it's ok. I just installed a K&N air filter and it already improved the initial start quite a bit. It doesn't seem as sluggish or resistant to startup. I'm not expecting it to be quick or fast, but I like the overall improvement this filter offers. I keep a close eye on my fuel economy and look forward to seeing if it adds an extra mile to the gallon or two. It is very easy to install and comes pre-lubricated with oil. If I clean it in the future I'll have to buy K&N oil and a cleaner for it, but I have a lot of miles to go before I even have to think about it. All in all I highly recommend it. This is a huge improvement over the factory filter. You pay more for it than for a normal filter, but I think it's worth it.
