I was concerned this would be a problematic install based on reviews saying it wouldn't fit properly on Jeep JK dashes but it was easy if You can't worry about tearing up the dashboard of your wife's jeep. Don't worry, the factory console edge released from the anchors with a smooth, steady lift. Put a block of wood in the gap to keep it in place. A Harbor Freight plastic trim tool pulled out the factory mesh/panel in no time. I bought inexpensive round LED panel switches and installed them all at once, although I only used two of the five switches at a time. Remove the wiring, position the bottom legs correctly, and forget about the tape on the top if you plan to add more accessories later. Press lightly to secure, remove the block of wood and gently move the console. Voila, success! Highly recommended. Edit: Complaints about broken joints when shifting a transfer case are 100% correct, especially when the shift cable is rusted and sticky. I was immediately removing the skin from one of the joints when the shifter suddenly rushed forward. A $600 cable replacement cured it, but I'd go with a switch less to save my joints. Ouch.
