Tried growing without them, just counting how long it took my humidifier to organically drain. I've found the humidity reaches 90% and the humidifier loses gallons of water every week. This thing fixed everything. I use 1/4 the water I'm used to and the humidity can be adjusted within a fairly precise range. I have a 45% to 55% rebound. It also alerts my phone when the humidifier is empty (which it knows because you set the minimum humidity % as an alarm). Add other humidity measurements in there and all proved to be accurate (tested on several different sized grow tents). This is required for any legal grow operation.
