Review on VESA Mounting Kit by Amer by Patrick Matin

Trying to use this VESA mount on a 27 inch Thunderbolt display. Short summary: This is a piece of c**p. After removing the stand and attaching the base plate, you need to attach the bracket with the screw provided. The screw that was actually supplied did not correspond to the instructions and had a cross head instead. It's screwed on so I went ahead and the instructions are to tighten so the side screw holes line up and install the screws provided. They never agree. It was possible to partially engage the screws with the threads and tighten the screws 75%. Then I tried installing it on a standard monitor mount using a VESA plate and screws. The included stand screws work great with Apple's native VESA mount on the movie screen, but they don't even screw in or fit the drilled holes in that VESA mount. No, the accuracy and quality of this product makes it unusable. No fun. I found a genuine Apple kit on eBay and was hoping it would provide a better experience.
