Let's do it step by step: 1) The box it arrives in is a storage container, so don't freak out with the blade of the box like me. 2) The instructions were for a completely different tree. It could have been assembled much faster, but I've been looking for a long time how to hide the wiring. You can't hide the wiring. The tree comes with three separate strings of lights so you will end up with three plugs at the bottom of the tree and will likely need an extension. Very cheap. 3) Two light bulbs didn't work and I spent some time replacing them. One of them was irreplaceable because at some point it burned out and the light bulb melted. See photo. Strange right? For safety reasons I had to cut the whole bulb and go around. So yes, very, very cheap wood. I wouldn't pay $30 for it at the dollar store. Two stars instead of one because once I got it together and fluffed it up it wasn't that bad.
